How to receive the application form
Any student
-
playing a string, woodwind or brass instrument or timpani,
-
who is in the last stage of his/her music studies or immediately after the diploma
and who is under the age of 28 but over 18
may apply.
Necessary is:
-
orchestral experience
-
sufficient knowlegde of German or English
-
a health insurance valid in Austria
-
a written committment to arrive on time and to stay until the end of the working
period.
Participation in the course in on principle subject to the payment of
fees: however, the Orchestra Institute, is in the position to offer
grants covering the costs of participation.
Students in receipt of one these grants will be expected to attend all courses
as well as all rehearsals and concerts.

the application form either by telephone, in writing, via email
or using the form on this page.
THE APPLICATION IN WRITING IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!
You will then receive the official application form as well as the request
to send us a cassette with some pieces of music that you will see from
a list of repertoire. You will be informed
about the further procedure by the information leaflet that we will send
you.
The students will be selected by a jury formed by members of the Vienna Philharmonic
Orchestra.
The application period for this year will end on February 28th, 2010.
